Thank you so much for reading the ramblings of this stay-at-home mom. It has been my privilege to write to you about my experiences as a parent- the good, the bad and the ugly.

Parenting Fails and Post-Blog Plans

I'm really bad at good-byes. Being someone who gets teary-eyed standing in the aisle of Hallmark while picking out cards probably proves I'm a sap. A friend taught me that their way of handling something difficult is to focus on what's going to happen after. If you're nervous about a presentation, you think about the lunch date you're having with a friend following the presentation, for example. This is it. My final post for The Real Moms of Eastern Iowa blog. Let me start by first saying THANK YOU. I started writing when I was around 21 weeks pregnant with Stella and she is now 3 ½ years old.

It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Later

December 28, 2016

In this final post with the Real Moms Of Eastern Iowa Blog, I wanted to share my new endeavor in the blogging world. As I shared earlier this week, writing about being a mom and about our daughter has become one of my favorite decisions in the last few years. I have developed a passion for uplifting other moms in motherhood and sharing inspiration or encouragement throughout our days. As I say goodbye to everyone here, I would love to meet up with you again on my personal mom blog: Cold Coffee Blessings!

When Autism is Part of Your World

December 28, 2016

As the Real Moms of Eastern Iowa blog comes to a close, it seems to fall into a season of farewells for us. It's apt that our years of therapy at Unity Point's Witwer Children's Therapy are also winding down.
