Comfort Skills Part 2 class is builds on what was learned in Comfort Skills Part 1. In this second “hands-on” class, you will
learn various ways to apply counter-pressure, massage techniques & how to
use a bed sheet, long scarf or a rebozo for support and relaxation in labor.
During this class you will also your opportunity to have a practice labor rehearsal with your partner
before your actual labor & birth. There will be a lengthened opportunity to
practice breathing skills, positioning, using the birth & peanut balls and various
comfort techniques learned in Comfort Skills Parts 1 & 2 classes during a mock
This is a completely “hands-on” practice so EACH mom-to-be
needs a support person to attend this class with her.
Bring your “Labor Support Bag” to class—this is a bag
of items you plan to use during labor (massage tools, Chap Stick, tennis balls,
foam noodle, your focusing object, washcloth, etc.).
Wear comfortable clothing as you will be on the
floor during the labor rehearsal
