Water Safety and Drowning Prevention
World's Largest Swimming Lesson
On Thursday, June 22, 2017, The World's Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) will take place to help build awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning. On this same day, waterparks, pools, and other aquatic facilities around the globe will also be hosting local WLSL events to help spread awareness that formal swimming lessons save lives.
Join us at the Altoona Aquatics Park on June 22nd to participate in this fun event! Participants will be led through a 30-minute swimming lesson activity facilitated by a lifeguard. Kids and parents of all ages are encouraged to attend!

If you'd like to participate in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson, you may register upon arrival. *Please note: Participation in the WLSL event if free, however, it will be necessary to pay for entrance to the Aquatics Park if you plan to stay for the day.
