The hospitalists at Blank Children's Hospital are board-certified pediatricians, practicing in the hospital setting. If your child is admitted to the hospital for care, your primary care provider may choose to have the hospitalists care for your child. The hospitalists work closely with your primary care provider and specialists in order to provide your child the care he or she needs. The hospitalists will manage the care of your child during hospitalization, and then your child will return to the care of your primary care provider after discharge.
Blank Children's Hospital is a teaching hospital. There are resident doctors who are completing their education and training to become pediatricians at Blank Children's Hospital. These residents work closely with the hospitalists in the care of patients. Additionally, there are medical students, nursing students and pharmacy students who also work closely with our staff to compete their education and training while being closely monitored by staff.
