Intended Audience:

Nurses, Dietitians, Lactation Consultants, Peer Counselors and other healthcare professionals working with breastfeeding mothers.


To enable the healthcare team to provide evidence-based care, education and support to the breastfeeding mother and her family.


$25 – May 15th Iowa Breastfeeding Coalition Meeting (includes lunch & free IBC Membership for 1 year) 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
$50 – May 15th Afternoon Session 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.
$120 – May 16th All Day Session (includes conference materials, breakfast and lunch) 8:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.


Deadline to register is Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. Registration is online only. When you click the "register now" button, you will have the opportunity to select the session(s) you wish to attend.

Additional Details

Traffic can be very busy at this time of morning so we suggest leaving early enough to give yourself plenty of time to reach the convention center.

Just a reminder that the conference center is large and temperature control can be difficult. We recommend dressing in layers or bringing a sweater for your comfort.

Rooms have been reserved at 3 different hotels for a discounted price for conference attendees. Simply call to make your reservations and tell them you are with the “Breastfeeding Conference”. A limited number of rooms were held so it is advised to book early. Reservations must be made by April 19 for discounted price. Free continental breakfast is included at all 3 hotels.

Dietary Request

We will do our best to accommodate any specific dietary requirements that are noted at the time of registration if applicable. If you have a severe medical need, you are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks to avoid any issues.

Nursing Room

A nursing room will be available onsite.

Infants Attending Conference
Mothers may bring quiet babies less than six months of age into the sessions. Due to the professional nature of this conference, most mothers find it easiest to bring a support person along to provide baby care outside the meeting room. Please respect the learning needs of other participants and care for your baby outside the meeting room if needed.
