Real Life Parenting
Developed by Hazelden Treatment Services
After we overcome addiction, we need to learn to parent our children. We must rebuild shattered trust, but even more basic, we need to re-learn, how to treat our children with love and respect. The Real Life Parenting Skills Program provides practical guidance on issues and ways we can develop realistic action plans with our children.
The Incredible Years
The Incredible Years Parents, Teachers, and Children Training Series has two long-range goals. The first is to provide cost-effective, early prevention programs that all families and teachers of young children can use to promote social, emotional, and academic competence and to prevent children from developing conduct problems. The second goal is to provide comprehensive interventions for teachers and parents that are targeted at treating and reducing the early onset of conduct problems in young children. Promotion of child social competence, emotional regulation, positive attributions, academic readiness, and problem-solving.
This program has been proven to improve parent-child interactions, build positive parent-child relationships and attachment and improve parental functioning, less harsh, and more nurturing parenting, and increase parental support and problem solving.
