Eric Lothe Named New Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at UnityPoint Health® - Des Moines
UnityPoint Health® – Des Moines announces the appointment of Eric Lothe as the new executive vice president and chief operating officer. Lothe will assume day-to-day leadership immediately, succeeding David Stark, who was named president and CEO in June. “I am very pleased to announce Eric Lothe as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of our organization,” says David Stark, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines. “Eric is a proven leader within our organization who lives our values each and every day. I cannot think of a better person to oversee the day to day operations of our organization.”
Lothe began working at UnityPoint Health – Des Moines in 2009. Since that time, he has held multiple positions throughout the organization including Vice President and Administrator for Iowa Lutheran Hospital; Vice President of Operations for UnityPoint Health – Des Moines and Chief Administrative Officer for Iowa Lutheran; and most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for UnityPoint Health – Des Moines.
Lothe holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He and his wife, Mary, have four children, Allison and husband Stephen live in Omaha; Joseph and wife Alex live in Minneapolis; Anna is in graduate school in the Chicago area, and Philip is a sophomore in college.
