JRMC Receives $50,000 to Establish Endowment Fund
While Rosemary Welter was a patient at Jones Regional Medical Center recently, her family soon realized the importance of the caregivers. While modern facilities and technology are necessary, the people providing care are at the heart of quality healthcare delivery in our community.
Jones Regional Medical Center cares for our community members over 13,000 times each month, an average of over 425 visits per day and employees over 300 healthcare professionals.
Roman and Rosemary Welter feel so strongly about the importance of education that they have established an endowment fund dedicated to staff education and development with an initial gift of $50,000. After discussing with their financial professionals, the Welters determined that utilizing an IRA Rollover as a charitable gift was the best option for them.
Endowment funds have dual goals: to grow the principal and to generate income. The staff endowment fund will hold the principal in perpetuity and use the earnings each year to fund staff education needs.
The goal is to reach $100,000 by the end of 2018 and $500,000 by December 2020. The Welters would like the community to join them in giving to this important fund to ensure that Jones Regional staffs always have access to the education and training needed to provide high quality care for our community. Please join them and consider a gift.
Gifts can be sent to the JRMC Foundation Office at 1795 Hwy 64 East, Anamosa, IA 52205 or online at unitypoint.org/JRMCFoundation. Questions can be directed to 319-481-6118.
