Hands-Only CPR

Hands-Only CPR

American Heart Association

We are proud to partner with the American Heart Association at the Cedar Valley Heart Walk to spread the word about hands-only CPR.

Hands-only CPR is CPR without mouth-to-mouth breaths. It is recommended for use by people who see a teen or adult suddenly collapse somewhere other than a hospital – at home, at work or at a community event. It consists of two easy steps:

  1. Call 911 (or send someone to do so) and remember the Three A's in Heart Attack
  2. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest
