Riverside Adult Services Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program

The Intensive Outpatient program is a group-based treatment program which operates Monday through Friday. Both morning and evening programs are offered to accommodate the working person. The goal of this program is to help clients learn how to lead healthy, sober lifestyles without the use of drugs.

The program is multi-dimensional and includes education about chemical dependency, social rehabilitation and relapse prevention and introduction to Alcohol Anonymous' 12-Step philosophy, which is provided separately for men and women. Programming is offered to provide education and group counseling that is specific to an individual's substance abuse addiction need. Every person in the outpatient program participates in at least one individual counseling session per week.

The recommendation for either residential services or intensive outpatient is based on a assessment of the client's chemical use patterns, living and social support situation and his/her ability to function in an intensive group in a highly structured environment. Riverside works with employers, managed care companies, employee assistance programs and other referral sources to coordinate discharge planning.

Men's Intensive Outpatient Program is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Women's Intensive Outpatient Program is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
