Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to offer a number of scholarships to students seeking further education following high school.
Submissions are accepted from November 1, 2016 until January 13, 2017.
Scholarship and award recipients will be notified by March 1, 2017.

Overview of the Granger Westberg Pastoral Care Award:
This monetary award has been established to provide financial assistance to persons who are seeking to prepare for a chaplaincy ministry in a health care setting, and are accepted and enrolled in an accredited year-long residency program for Clinical Pastoral Education program as a means of achieving that goal. The Reverend Doctor Granger E. Westberg was noted for his pioneering work in exploring and encouraging the interrelationship of religion and medicine and in fostering holistic health care.
Overview of the Kenneth Moburg Administrative Award:
This monetary award has been established to provide financial assistance to persons who are engaged in graduate study leading to either a Master's or Doctorate Degree in some aspect of Health Care Administration. Candidates for this award must be either an employee or the child of an employee of UnityPoint Health - Trinity and be an active member of a recognized faith community. Mr. Moburg was an administrator at the former Lutheran Hospital in Moline, one of Trinity's predecessor institutions.
Overview of the Kenneth Moburg Educational Scholarship:
The Kenneth Moburg Education Scholarship is for children of UnityPoint Health - Trinity employees who are pursuing a degree in a healthcare profession that requires an associate's degree or more. Mr. Moburg was an administrator at the former Lutheran Hospital in Moline, one of Trinity's predecessor institutions.
Overview of the Lynn Vermeer Youth Development Scholarship:
The Lynn Vermeer Youth Development Scholarship is for children AND grandchildren of UnityPoint Health - Trinity employees who are currently pursuing or plan to pursue a degree or certification from an accredited college, university or health-related program. Lynn Vermeer was the father of UnityPoint Health President and Chief Strategy Officer Kevin Vermeer, formerly CFO for Trinity.
CVM-IL Youth Mentoring Scholarship submissions will now be accepted until March 31, 2017.
Overview of the CVM-IL Math & Science Initiative:
The physicians from Cardiovascular Medicine, P.C., in Illinois have come together to create a new math and science initiative funded through the Trinity Health Foundation. The initiative includes scholarships for college-bound students with a youth mentoring program to be released in 2017.
The cardiologists have already contributed half a million dollars to finance the initiative through a special fund at the Trinity Health Foundation. Funding should sustain these programs for the next 20 years.
