Biography

Dr. Shanna Elliott joined Community Memorial Hospital in 2018. After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Northern Iowa, Dr. Elliott attended Des Moines University to receive her DO and was a resident at Northeast Iowa Family Medicine Residency in Waterloo.
Dr. Elliott enjoys the science behind health care and is excited to use her knowledge to help individuals and their families. When she is not helping patients, Dr. Elliott spends her time traveling, bicycling and playing with her two dogs.

Why did you become a physician/provider?
I have always loved the sciences and the ability to use this knowledge to help people.
What is your medical philosophy?
As a family physician, I am able to develop relationships with my patients and families. I can offer comprehensive preventative care and treatment at every stage of life.
What type of care interests are you most passionate about?
Women's health and preventative care.
Why did you choose your specialty?
Building relationships with patients over time, family physicians are able to develop a comprehensive understanding of their patient's health, and offer personal guidance and treatment for every stage of life.
