Biography

Nicole Schopf, MSN, APNP, NP-C, R. N. is a provider at UnityPoint Clinic Urgent Care – West. Schopf treats patients for minor illnesses and injuries, with experience in critical care as well. Schopf is dedicated to patient outcomes and believes the patient is a partner in health care. She understands the healthcare environment can be confusing to a patient and explanation is key in building a rapport with her patients. Schopf believes getting to know her patients, understanding their thought process and considering their personal beliefs forms a strong relationship for the future.
Schopf entered the medical field because she understands the importance of patients having an advocate, someone who gives patients options and guides patients to positive health outcomes. She leaves the clinic feeling great when she sees a smile, hears a thank you or knows that her patients have received the care they need.
While not in the clinic, Schopf enjoys reading, upcycling and painting furniture or crafts, as well as spending time with her husband and two children.
She received her Bachelor's and Masters of Science in Nursing from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She also completed post-graduate work as a family nurse practitioner at Viterbo University.
