Why did you become a physician/provider? I have always found purpose and joy in helping others achieve their potential and work towards living their best life, no matter what befalls them.

As a provider, what is your medical philosophy? It is my responsibility to know as much as I can about my area of expertise so I can best guide my patients regarding their treatment, rehabilitation or the longterm management of their medical condition or disability. I am but one member of the care team. I highlight and utilize the skills and expertise of each team member, including my patients and their support system, to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What type of care/clinical interests are you most passionate about? Everything related to spinal cord injury medicine.

Why did you choose your specialty? I enjoy caring for the entire person, and spinal cord injury affects all aspects of a person's life. I have always felt honored and deeply humbled by the opportunity to support people as they navigate life after a life-changing neurologic injury.

What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients? Dedicated, educated and resolute. I will explore all available resources and options to uncover the best solutions for my patients' problems or concerns.

Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day? I am driven by my patients and their needs, and I find joy in each small success that brings them improved function or quality of life. I enjoy solving diagnostic puzzles and navigating treatment challenges.

What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice? With your active participation and commitment to your care, I promise to do everything in my power to support your rehabilitation, health and life goals.
