The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free, confidential, professional counseling to help UnityPoint Health - Methodist employees, their spouses and dependent children resolve personal problems, which may affect their health, personal well being, or job performance.
In person professional counseling for employees, spouses and dependents. Your personal problem may be resolved within three (3) sessions (per family member per personal problem) or you may be referred to a professional resource that has expertise within your problem area. Trained professionals to discuss issues regarding:

Telephonic financial consultation services are designed to provide information promoting wise money management and responsible credit use. Areas of assistance include:
- Credit counseling and debt consolidation
- Loan issues and credit report review
- Tax questions
One initial, 30-minute office or telephone consultation with an attorney at no cost for any non employment related question or concern. Mediation services for child custody, divorce, real estate, and landlord/tenant or consumer disputes are also included.
- Unlimited Access for as many different legal issues as needed.
- A preferred rate reduction of 25% will be available on additional services.
Identity Theft Services
A full service restoration program for victims of identity theft in which a dedicated cases manager will be assigned to work on your behalf to
- Contact creditors to initiate the dispute process
- Issue fraud alerts
- Work with the credit bureaus to restore your credit rating
Work-Life Concierge Services
CGP's Work-Life Concierge Services helps employees achieve a better balance between work and family life by providing unlimited consultation, information and referral support for a variety of daily demand concerns.
Assistance locating resource services.
A specialist can help located quality providers to meet your adult care, child care, education, and adoption needs. Each request is customized and includes verification of location, cost, and business hours of the provider.
Vacancy checks on all providers.
Vacancy and availability checks are conducted on all providers and services prior to making the referral to ensure that employees do not waste valuable time.
Specialists can also help find everyday services such as home repairs, movers, tickets, specific products, restaurants, hotels, and pet care.
Enhanced, customized referral packets.
Specialists will provide educational material about various options so employees can make informed decisions about how to choose a provider based on needs such as location, cost, type, etc.
