Meriter's Gastroenterology team treats such conditions as Barrett's Esophagus, Celiac Disease, Crohn's Disease, Diverticular Disease, Gastritis, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)/Heartburn, Hepatitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Peptic Ulcers and Ulcerative Colitis.

It focuses on abdominal organs and their diseases, including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, spleen and thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands.
Surgeons also perform vasectomies and deal with diseases involving the skin, breast and hernias.
