Well Woman Care

It is common practice for a woman of any age to undergo routine annual physical examination and testing as a preventative measure in maintaining good health. The goal of the Well Woman Exam is to identify and address any gynecological issues that may be undiagnosed by use of various screening methods. It is also the time when existing problems can be reassessed to insure that current therapy is still appropriate.

A typical Well Woman Examination usually covers:

  • Yearly general physical and pelvic exams
  • Breast exams
  • Pap Smear & HPV testing
  • STD Screening, treatment and counseling
  • HPV Vaccination (Gardisil)
  • Assessment of incontinence
  • Osteoporosis risk factor screening
  • General cancer screen
  • Lifestyle counseling (smoking cessation, weight loss and exercise counseling etc.)

Patients appreciate the relationship that our providers build with each individual. The partnership is formed and allows our providers and patients to work together as a team. If there is a problem, it will be explained thoroughly and together the team will decide the best treatment option. In addition, patients will be provided with the skills and tools they need to stay healthy. Our providers are approachable and available to their patients throughout their health care journey.
