Mom holding baby, reviewing top baby names

Whether you had a baby in 2017, are looking at baby names for 2018 or just want to see if your own name remains on the list, it’s fun to review the top baby names from the past year. Their top girl names include recent favorites, like Sophia, Olivia and Emma, while the top boy names were Jackson, Liam and Noah.

We also tallied a list of the most popular baby names of 2017 from across our entire health system. The list was compiled from the most common first names (and spelling variations) of the roughly 20,000 born at all UnityPoint Health facilities so far this year.
