Built with Family in Mind
Designed and built with our patients and their families in mind, the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home provides many unique features that make our hospice home feel less like a care facility and more like home.
The Paula J. Baber Hospice Home was built with the family in mind, providing everything a family would need while staying with or visiting their loved one.
We have a family kitchen with all the necessities to make a meal. The spacious kitchen and adjoining dining room open to a patio where families can enjoy the outdoors.
A family room is provided to relax and watch TV. Included in the family room is a children's play area. Children can watch TV, read, or play games.
The patient spa provides a soothing and relaxing experience for the patient. Many hospice patients are unable to take a warm soaking bath because of physical limitations. Our spa has a large whirlpool tub with a lift. The spa also has a handicap accessible shower.
Our mission is to provide complete care for our patients and their families, including a place for their spiritual needs. Our beautiful chapel offers a quiet place for prayer and reflection.
Trinity Gardens provide a unique and tranquil sanctuary. These beautiful gardens celebrate the lives of those we have lost and honor the families and friends who have cherished and cared for their loved ones.
Trinity Gardens offers the opportunity to purchase a brick paver. Pavers can be engraved as a memorial or to honor someone you love. They are available with gifts of $250 (6" x 6") or $500 (6" x 9"). For more information, please contact UnityPoint Health Foundation at 515-574-6509.
