Simple Ways to Stay Hydrated this Summer

Grundy County Memorial Hospital is offering free health information in its Live Well Summer Series, beginning Monday, June 19, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. The first topic is “Healthy Hydration”, which focuses on identifying fluid needs for healthy adults, explaining how to choose healthy drinks, and advice on how to increase the amount of healthy drinks you have each day. You’ll also learn how to make sure you’re drinking enough on hot summer days, especially during exercise.

There is no cost to attend the one-hour session, which is taught by a GCMH registered dietitian-nutritionist. People attending the class are welcome to bring a lunch to eat during the program, or may purchase lunch in the hospital’s East J Café.

Other topics in the Live Well Summer Series are “Fresh and Local” on Thursday, July 20 at the Grundy County Fair, and “Family Meals: Anytime, Anyplace” on Monday, August 14, 6:00 p.m.

June and August classes are held in the hospital’s Education Room. Use the Entrance #3 on the west side of the hospital.
