Additional Services

Children's Services: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is evidence-based treatment for children ages 3-18 who have experienced a trauma such as, child abuse, domestic violence, traumatic grief, etc. This treatment has shown to significantly reduce a child's symptoms of PTSD and improve the child's overall mental health, as well as, their caregivers'. TF-CBT is typically used to support youth and their caregivers who have been impacted by trauma and co-occurring mental health problems. The treatment helps the child and their caregiver gradually process the trauma, while simultaneously developing skills to help manage symptoms of the trauma. Symptoms may include changes in mood (anxiety, depression, anger, etc.) and/or behavior (tantrums, refusing to go to school, reduced academic performance, difficulties trusting others, isolating and many others).
Children's Services: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
Parent-Child interaction therapy is an evidenced based intervention. Parent-Child interaction therapy works with children and parents together to promote a positive parent-child relationship, while decreasing behavior problems. Parent-Child Interaction therapy has shown to decrease disruptive behavior in children ages 2-7. Examples of these disruptive behaviors include being disobedient, inattention and aggression. Parent-Child interaction therapy can also decrease disruptive behavior in children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, intellectual disability, and Autism. It is a two-stage treatment approach. During the first stage the therapist will help the parent and child enhance their bond through positive special play time. Parents will learn specific skills to support improved self-esteem for the child and improve the overall mood of the child. During the second stage the therapist provides instruction to the parent on compliance training where the child learns to listen and follow the parent's instructions. Following each session, the therapist asks parents to practice the learned skills at home for just five minutes daily.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy can help children between the ages of 2 and 7 with the following problems:

  • Problem behaviors in school or day care
  • Aggression toward others including family and caregivers
  • Non-Compliance with directions or discipline
  • Frequent Temper Tantrums
  • Swearing
  • Defiance
  • Negative Attitude
Children's Services: Pediatric Integrated Health Home
Pediatric Integrated Health Home offers case management services. A team of individuals work together to coordinate the physical and mental health services a child needs. The team is available monthly or as needed via phone or in person to provide assistance with other community resources, as well.
Consultation Services
Consultation Services are available to professionals and organizations such as medical doctors, clergy, social service providers, nursing facilities, etc. to assist in defining and resolving behavioral health problems and issues as they relate to a particular person, program or to the community.
