Peter Bartels, DOPeter Bartels, D.O. received his medical training at Des Moines University and completed his residency at the University of Iowa. His fellowship in neurophysiology was at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

 Amro El Feki, MDAmro El Feki, MD attended Mansoura University in Egypt and completed his Internal Medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. He completed his fellowship in neurophysiology (including EMG and EEG interpretation) at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. El Feki specializes in epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders (e.g., neuropathy, myopathy, and myasthenia gravis).

Mostafa Hammoudi MDMostafa Hammoudi, MD attended the University of Damascus, Faculty of Medicine, and completed his residency with the University of Nebraska/Creighton University. His fellowship was in neurophysiology at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN and he is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Hammoudi's specialty is epilepsy, and he is Medical Director of Iowa Methodist's neurophysiology lab.

 Calvin Hansen MDCalvin Hansen, MD received his medical education and completed his medical internship with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Lincoln, NE. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine, Tucson, AZ. His fellowship was in stroke (cerebrovascular disorders) with Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. Hansen is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His specialties are cerebrovascular disorders, neurological disorders, neurology, neuromuscular disorders and neuro-rehabilitation. Dr. Hansen is Medical Director of Iowa Methodist Medical Center/Iowa Lutheran Hospital's Accredited Stroke Center and is a member of the Stroke task force and the Cardiovascular Steering Committee for the State of Iowa.


Todd Janus MD

Todd Janus, PhD, MD, FAAN attended Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL and completed his residency with the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, TX. His fellowship in neuro-oncology was with the University of Texas/ M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. Dr. Janus is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. His specialties are Multiple Sclerosis and neuro-oncology. Dr. Janus is Medical Director of Iowa Methodist's Comprehensive MS Society Center.

Weeraworn Nakarawat MDWeeraworn Nakarawat, MD received his medical education at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He completed his neurology residency at the St. Louis University School of Medicine and his neuro-muscular fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Nakarawat specializes in neuromuscular diseases, including peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, ALS, muscular dystrophy and MG, and he is Medical Director of the Des Moines MDA Clinic.

Lynn Rankin, MDLynn Rankin, MD received her medical training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine with the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her neurology residency with the University of Arizona Hospitals in Tucson, Arizona. She is board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board-certified in Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). Dr. Rankin is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Iowa Neurological Association and the American Headache Society. Her special clinical interests include treatment for chronic migraine headaches and botox injection treatment for neurological disorders.

 Lynn K Struck MDLynn K. Struck, MD attended the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She completed her residency in neurology and her fellowship in movement disorders and botulinum toxin injection with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Struck is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her specialty is movement disorders. Dr. Struck is Medical Director of the Parkinson's disease Information and Referral Center.
