Eduardo S. Antezano, MD

Eduardo Antezano, MDEduardo Antezano, MD received his medical training at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed his residency with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and his fellowship with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Antezano is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine - Cardiovascular Disease and also the National Board of Echocardiography, Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, Certification Board of Cardiovascular CT and the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.

His clinical interests include comprehensive cardiovascular care, hemodynamics, pulmonary hypertension and cardiac imaging. Procedures performed include diagnostic cardiac catheterization, transesophageal echocardiography, hemodynamic studies, pacemaker implantation and loop recorder implantation.

Dr. Antezano is fluent in Spanish.


David Hall, D.O.

David Hall. DODavid Hall, DO, F.A.C.O.I., F.A.C.C. received his medical training at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He interned with Flint Osteopathic Hospital, Flint, Michigan and completed his residency with Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital, Kirksville, Missouri and his fellowship with the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Hall is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and he is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American College of Cardiology.

Before joining UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology, he was in private cardiology practice in Des Moines. He is a former Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Des Moines General Hospital and was honored as Physician of the Year by Des Moines General Hospital and the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Hall has held a number of academic faculty positions, has published extensively in medical journals and completed many notable clinical investigations.


Tim Hart, M.D.

Tim Hart, MDDr. Tim Hart was born and raised in Des Moines. He attended the University of Iowa as both an undergraduate and medical student. His internship, residency and cardiology fellowship were all completed at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio, Texas. He began practice in 1987 with the Iowa Heart Center.

Dr. Hart is on the medical staff of Iowa Lutheran Hospital and is a founding member of UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology. His clinical interests include interventional cardiology and cardiac and vascular imaging. He is board-certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.


Sushma Koneru, MD

Sushma Koneru, MDDr. Sushma Koneru received her medical training at Rangaraya Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, India. She completed her residency with Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois, a heart failure and transplant fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY and a cardiology fellowship with Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Her clinical interests include heart failure, women's health and preventative cardiology care.


Amar Nath, M.D. 

Amar Nath, MDDr. Amar Nath received his medical training at the Prince of Wales Medical College in Patna, India. His internship was at the University of South Dakota and he completed his medical residency at the University of Iowa. His cardiology fellowship was with the University of Missouri, followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Nath was appointed to the faculty of the Medical College of Virginia as an interventional cardiologist, serving for three years. He moved to Des Moines in 1990 and started regular cardiology practice with the Iowa Heart Center.

Dr. Nath is on the medical staff of Iowa Lutheran Hospital and is a founding member of UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology. His clinical interests include interventional cardiology and general cardiac care. He regularly performs angioplasty and stent procedures. Dr. Nath is board-certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Beyond his regular practice, Dr. Nath has published several articles in leading cardiology journals, and has been invited by both the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology to speak as an expert in interventional cardiology in their annual symposiums.


Prasad Palakurthy, M.D. 

Prasad Palakurthy, MDDr. Prasad Palakurthy received his medical training from Osmania Medical College in Hyderrabad, India. His internship was with Cook County Hospital, Chicago, where he also completed his medical residency. His cardiology fellowship was with Sinai Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Palakurthy is on the medical staff of Iowa Lutheran Hospital and is a founding member of UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology. His practice specialty is pacemaker implantation and monitoring. He is board-certified in Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Echocardiography.


John Pargulski, D.O. 

John Pargulski, DO Dr. John Pargulski received his medical training at Des Moines University and interned with the Ohio State University Medical Center. He completed his medical residency with St. Louis University Medical Center and his cardiology fellowship with Ohio State University Medical Center.

Dr. Pargulski is on the medical staff of Iowa Lutheran Hospital and is a founding member of UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology. His clinical interests include preventative cardiovascular care, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and treatment of peripheral vascular disease. He is board-certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echo-cardiography.


Craig Stark, M.D.

Craig Stark, MD

Dr. Craig Stark received his medical training at Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Dr. Stark is board-certified in general, interventional and nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.

He was in practice with Iowa Heart Center from 1995 to 2013, and prior to that, spent six years in private cardiology practice.


Craig Stevens, M.D.  

Craig Stevens, MD

Dr. Craig Stevens received his medical training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin- Madison. He completed his cardiology fellowship with the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He began his practice with Iowa Heart Center.

Dr. Stevens is on the medical staff of Iowa Lutheran Hospital and is a founding member of UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology. His specialized areas of practice include general cardiology, congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, hyperlipidemia and hypertension. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Peripheral Vascular Duplex Interpretation (the latter by the American Society of Echocardiography).
