UnitedHealth Premium Cardiac Surgery Specialty Centers
Both Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Iowa Methodist Medical Center have been designated as Premium Cardiac Surgery Centers by UnitedHealthcare, an information program designed to help consumers make more informed choices in selecting high-quality cardiac facilities that are more cost effective in the delivery of medical care. To be considered for this designation, facilities must complete a survey and submit detailed outcomes data through the American College of Cardiology (ACC) or the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).
Both hospitals are also highly rated by UnitedHealthcare for cardiac rhythm management and overall cardiac care.
