The Care Coordinator Program at John Stoddard Cancer Center is staffed by six oncology certified nurses who have an understanding both of the technical aspects of cancer and the emotional aspects of the journey. Together with members of the multidisciplinary care team, the care coordinators help bridge and connect patients and their families with resources within the cancer center, at UnityPoint Health - Des Moines and in the community as a whole. Their goal is to educate and support patients and families throughout the cancer journey.
