Scholarship Program for St. Luke's Associates

Through the generosity of our many donors, St. Luke's Foundation is able to provide scholarship for associates who are furthering their secondary education in a bachelor or master's degree program. These scholarships help further our mission to support St. Luke's in providing the healthcare we'd like our loved ones to receive.

Associates Scholarship Program

These scholarships provide tuition assistance for associates pursuing a degree to expand or further their job skills. Scholarships are provided for this program through individuals who have created endowment funds to support the continuing education opportunities for St. Luke's employees.

The following scholarships are available to support the ongoing education of St. Luke's employees:

  • Ida Kansky Scholarship
  • Dr. J. Stuart McQuiston Scholarship
  • Greta N. Schuchmann Scholarship
  • May B. Gortner Scholarship
  • Natalie and Joe Cohn Scholarship
  • Nursing Scholarship
  • Opal Fagle Scholarship
  • Roy K. Keech Scholarship
  • Ted and Lillian Feder Scholarship
  • St. Luke's Foundation has a Scholarship Program Selection Committee who evaluates and scores each scholarship application. All eligible applications are not guaranteed funding. Dollar amounts vary depending on the scholarship awarded. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:

    • Be employed in an eligible UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids department. Please click here for a complete listing of ineligible and eligible departments.
    • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university listed on the application for the 2017-18 school year
    • Continue to work for St. Luke's Healthcare (one year per scholarship awarded)

    2017 Application is due on Monday, March 6 at 3 p.m.
