Hello!  My name is Mary and I am a stay-at-home mom to three silly and often mischievous boys, Cael (8), Graham, (6), and Adler (almost 2).   I have been married to my “guy’s guy” husband, Joel, for over ten years, and am also an in-home day care provider for two additional boys.  In short, I am outnumbered!  While life surrounded by boys can be silly, noisy, and often unexpected, I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

A pedicure and an hour alone in Target would be nice, though.  Just sayin’.

Lip Service

Yesterday I read a PopSugar article about why one mom refuses to kiss her kids on the lips. Because this mother took issue with mouth kisses because she feels they are sexual and therefore socially inappropriate.

Back to School Brain

August 24, 2016

Just about any mother will tell you that "pregnancy brain" is a very real and debilitating condition. I'm definitely not expecting these days, but I have felt mentally taxed all the same. In addition to being a stay-at-home mom of three, I watch two other boys to supplement our income and because I have an apparent desire to lose my femininity completely. Though my kids are just barely back to school, I have been back in the swing of my day care duties for over a week, and my brain is paying the price.

I've often heard it said that you can see the innocence and purity of God in the face of a child.
