Pregnancy Guide

Congratulations! You're expecting! Becoming a parent is one of the most rewarding life experiences you can have, and when the time comes for the birth of your child, you want only the best team working with you and your child. At St. Luke's Hospital, we have a team of expert nurses, doctors, and health educators who will work with you during your pregnancy and post pregnancy to ensure a safe and healthy delivery for both you and your child. We offer resources, classes, and services you need to become well-prepared for your new family member.

Preparing for Baby: Next Steps

Childbirth classes

St. Luke's childbirth classes cover every stage and age group, from health before conception, to baby basics, refresher courses for grandparents, information for siblings, prenatal classes and how to perform infant massages.

Choosing a Provider For Your Baby

First-time mothers often do not realize that in choosing their own doctor for their pregnancy, they must also decide on a pediatrician or family physician for their new baby. This is someone who is different than the OB provider and will take care of you during your pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Read more about choosing a provider for your baby.

Take Care of Yourself During Pregnancy

In order to have a healthy pregnancy for both you and your child, it's important to know what is OK during pregnancy and what to avoid. If you have any questions, contact your OB provider who can give further guidance as to what the right steps are for a healthy lifestyle as you await the birth of your child.
