Thank You and Farewell December 29, 2016

I was asked to join this wonderful blog after I tweeted that my husband and I were expecting. At the same time, the Real Moms of Eastern Iowa were looking for an expecting mother role. It was the right place at the right time. Fast forward five years later and it is now coming to an end.  I feel very fortunate I was able to be a part of the Real Moms of Eastern Iowa right from the start – and the ride has been so memorable.

I am not known as a very vulnerable person, but this blog has taught me that I can be. The comments and dialog have been uplifting and supportive - I thank you, the readers, for that. I am still surprised that people even read my posts! The Real Moms of Eastern Iowa has given me so much -  new friendships, a ‘diary’ to my children, and it has allowed me to express myself in a way that has been foreign to me until now.  It also created an atmosphere where judgment was at minimum and love and support were at the forefront. So amazing.

As they say, all good things must come to an end.  So with that, thank you for reading, commenting, offering support and ideas, and having an interest in myself and my family.  It truly means so much to me to feel so accepted and to have had a wonderful community to share my story with.
