This weekly group is for moms anytime during the first year after the birth of their baby.  Babies are always welcome!  Meet with a Registered Nurse/Breastfeeding Educator with over 30 years of experience working with new parents and newborns to answer questions and help problem solve.  You can talk, share experiences, ask questions, develop skills and find alternatives to work through the adjustments of the first year of your motherhood experience.

This group discusses postpartum, new roles and responsibilities, changing relationships, stress management, self-esteem issues, birth experiences, returning to work and other challenges that come with a new baby.  Postpartum depression screening will be done weekly.

If you would like to get together with other moms and their babies to discuss the adjustments of motherhood, please plan to attend the free weekly support group anytime during your baby’s first year.

This group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.  Class is held in Classroom C in the lower level (basement) of the Helen G. Nassif Women's & Children's Center.

Pre-registration is not necessary.  Call 319/369-7580 for more information.
